Family and congregational sources has intimated this press that the highly respected Immam of “Masjid Rahman” Sheik Alie Kamara of Rotifunk village in the Kaffu Bullom Chiefdom, Lungi town, Port Loko district ,Northern Sierra Leone has died months after his son leaked gay sex video went viral.
It could be recalled that in March this year the son of the Rotifunk’s most reverned Islamic clergyman Unisa Kamara had a sex video of him and his gay partner leaked and went viral on social media.
Same sex relationship relationships are outlawed in Sierra Leone and is seen by religious faithful as Taboo and or sacriledge.
Unisa’s late father for fear of being shamed by his congregation and the public was reportedly said to have abadoned his clergy roles and responsibilities and went into self isolation despite attempts to get him to return.
The Rotifunk community in Lungi on seeing the disgraceful video reportedly expelled Sheik Alie Kamara and his family from all activities of the community. The ‘Kafu Bullom locals are known Islamic fanatics that does not compromise things they believed works against the Islamic faith.
Unisa and his gay partner were reportedly subjected to community reprisal for their shameful act.
A family source told this medium that immediately after the video leaked, Unisa was evicted from the family house. He was also said to have been denied access to food in cookery shops and restaurants in Lungi.
The late clergy man’s family is torted as the ‘DOG FAMILY’ and called other unpleasant names which many said culminated to the depression that led to his death.
Unisa and his gay partner had since fled to unknown destination and many feared he is dead because of his disapearance and silence.
Sheik Alie Kamara was was laid rest yesterday at the Rotifunk village cemetary after a poorly attended ceremony.
