Foday Bassie Swaray, Executive Director of ActionAid Sierra Leone, has been recognized as the country’s Best NGO Director by the Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation.
The award was presented by the distinguished youth-led organization, which is known for its national development and transformation initiatives. It acknowledges Swaray’s sustained, values-driven leadership and his steadfast dedication to community empowerment, social justice, and building a more equitable future.
Upon receiving the honor at his Freetown office, Swaray expressed his gratitude. “I am deeply honored by this recognition,” he stated. “My sincere thanks to the Bai Bureh Heritage Foundation. This award is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire ActionAid Sierra Leone team, whose belief and partnership make our mission possible.”
